I recently tested the EB on the Class 377 and after about a second of EB going off, the train went over an AWS magnet and the AWS sound started. I waited for 10 seconds before pressing insert. The EB sound was still going and after about 20 seconds I cancelled it. AWS should (in real trains, not BVE) apply the brakes after a certain period of time if the warning is not acnolaged (sp?) and EB normally applys the brakes after 5 seconds. Why do they cancel each other out? shouldn't they work together? BVE Passengers be warned, If your driver falls asleep your train may crash! :pDerek kaye
In BVE, if you do not cancel the AWS by pressing insert, the train still will not stop. I think it can't be simulated in BVE and this is the closest. I'm not sure about each other cancelling each other out!
-----You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!----- Or probably, maybe you should waste your time reading it. Eh, where did my signature go? Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it's probably too bright to see it. Hey, look at my avatar, nice right? I drew it with my own hands holding the mouse in Paint, with the pencil tool(and the Filling tool!)! It's a picture of me in Planet Stooopid, where everything is the same as what you call "Earth" except that we are called "aliens" in your planet. Anyway, I warned you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted probably about 30 seconds reading it, where you could have spent the time doing better things, like maybe reading the next post below if there is one...
Derek,Yes this is correct, as Steve and Nathan label it 'semi-functional' it means that you get all the right noises but there's no way to make it stop the train CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve
I know in BVE the AWS won't stop the train, but the thing I was worried about was the fact that the EB didn't stop the train when the AWS horn was on.Derek kaye
Well yes that could be a problem. Generally you're protected against both, but I guess not in BVE. Hopefully you're not falling alseep anyways! Sometimes I am... Tim Frost NVTA Subway routes for BVE: The Union Atlantic Railroad: Your stuff's important!
