Hey everyone check this out. I managed to get a photorealistic cab for my 1992 stock soon to be re-released with REAL sounds. Here's what ive got so far. The cab is the same as what a driver would see as i took it from the drivers seat. Ignore so speedo and CCTV monitor they will be edited soon to central line standards!New 1992 Cab – image 1

I think my host was down for a while. The pictures are working again. You certainly haven't violated any copyright rules there, I thought when you PM'd me you'd used a screenshot, but taking words to text is certainly not infringement, especially since you've put where it's from.Nice transcription too, I like how 'this' became 'dis' in no small part to Adam's LI dialect... definitely not a bad thing! Glad you like the annoucements. Written by me, 'performed' by my good friend Adam (boliqua2). EDIT: Forgot an important word! Tim Frost

The 1992 stock speedometer only has kph in it.
Here's what I did to your original 1992 stock panel long ago(note the speedometer). The main thing is I modified it to have linear speedometer.New 1992 Cab – image 14

-----You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-----
Or probably, maybe you should waste your time reading it.
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it's probably too bright to see it.
Hey, look at my avatar, nice right? I drew it with my own hands holding the mouse in Paint, with the pencil tool(and the Filling tool!)!
It's a picture of me in Planet Stooopid, where everything is the same as what you call "Earth" except that we are called "aliens" in your planet.
Anyway, I warned you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted probably about 30 seconds reading it, where you could have spent the time doing better things, like maybe reading the next post below if there is one...

How come there is no speedometer in the real thing?

There is, but you just can't see the numbers. I'm no expert on the LU, in fact, I've never even left U.S.A. territory, but I can say that when comparing the sim picture with the real one, you can tell where the speedometer should be.-Robert Marrero

RE: New 1992 Cab

>How come there is no speedometer in the real thing? I remember thinking the same thing as i sat there looking at the speedo. yes it was blank! i have no idea why though. I think maybe because a direction of travel ie. Forward needs to be selected before the speedo lights up. while i was in the cab the train was in the neutral selection with no direction selected. And tom i was just as shocked as you to be let in the cab! i would say to anyone trying to get into any cab, try and catch the drivers at the ends of the line like ealing broadway. When i asked to get in the cab of a class 165 at paddington the driver said no, but when i asked another driver at Greenford(the terminus of the Paddington to greenford line) i was welcome to the cab! try to do it at small stations in the middle of nowhere not huge stations like paddington!By the way the cab of 1992 is so comfortable i wouldnt mind doing that job!===========================

How the @%#$£ did you get into that cab!!!When I was in London a few months back, I took a photo which so much as showed half of the TBC of a 73TS, the T'Op emerged and told me <cockney accent> "Saweee mayte, naw phawtaws alawwd in cawbs" </cockney accent>. He then radioed Line Control who instructed the station supervisor to give me a lecture! (The SS did mention "I don't agree with it, i'm just doing what i'm told, i'm an amateur photographer myself").* Location not mentioned to protect identities, although some will probarbly have heard me rant on about it--
