RE: The new tube stock is now out..

It doesn't seem to work in BVE 2.3!

--You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!--
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it is probably too bright to see it.
Anyway, I told you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted 10 seconds!

Excellent trains, I can't wait for the 38TS, (I have a 1:8 scale model of one so I'm eager to drive one in BVE).Only one criticism, the digital speedometer on the 95 stock seems to be very hard to read in BVE 2.5 (I'm running in 32bit colour, if that has anything to do with it).Works great on BVE.net though.

RE: The new tube stock is now out..

Excellent job - I reaaly noticed the difference in the sounds - the '95 stock sounds like I remember it from the last time I was in London (last December). The old one sounded like someone was groaning as the train began to move - I always wondered if I had just run over some poor chap The speedo is a tad hard to read, perhaps a better contrast for the background, even if it may not be authentic. But this is a minor point in an outstanding issue - congrats to Steve an all the other people involved - thanks!

Thanks for the comments guys I know that the trains work in 2.9 and 2.5.3 Phil, but you say they don't work in 2.3? I'm not sure of the reason for this (and does anyone use 2.3 now?) It may be because the sounds are 16bit or because the train.dat is the new 200000 type? The orange readout on a yellow background is the same on the real trains. I'm aware that it may be a bit difficult to see on low res. I'll make a wee patch for those who can't see it. If you want to change the colour yourself, then open the 'spdcover.bmp' and change the colour of the orange squares.Cheers

If you delete all the sound files, it works with no problems, but just very quiet...

Phil, I've just heard from the sound guru David White. He pointed out to me that BVE 2.3 doesn't like 'empty' .wav files. I added a couple of blank .wav files to the trains so that the ats doesn't make a sound, also for air.wav to stop the sound from the old installation interfering. If you delete air.wav, ats.wav and ding.wav it should work in BVE 2.3Thanks to David for the info Cheers

Hi Steve,Here's the fix... I've uploaded a zip with new blank Air.wav, Ats.wav and Ding.wav, fully-tested... and it works for the affected train (LT1995)... hope you don't mind me 'jumping the gun' a little CiaoWulfSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

>'jumping the gun' a little After using this patch, I had less Error 5s but still had one Error 5 that came out. So I looked to see which files were less than 1kb, and Rub.wav seemed to be a problem. So I replaced Rub.wav with one of those new blank files and it eliminated all Error 5s.
