Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it is probably too bright to see it.
Anyway, I told you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted 10 seconds!

RE: New Highspeed

Even without BVE 2.9, you still can get 900km/h! This is BVE 2.3...
In the new BVE, the "limit" seems to be 360km/h.

RE: New Highspeed

Hi Peter, Glad to see you continuining your work on the Japanese JR-500 Shinkansen. I have been doing a little work on it also. I have taken one of the pictures you sent me sometimes ago and am developing a cabview for the JR-500 for both BVE and MSTS. I will post a picture of it if I can ever figure out how to do it. The picture I am using is the one where the JR-500 is running under green-neon lighting conditions and includes the driver, well you know which one it is. Nice hearing from you again.

RE: New Highspeed

I guess it depends on whether you're sitting or standing. The only way I know of doing it is to change the height of the train above the track in the train.dat file. I wish we could adjust the tilt of the train to the track as found in the cab-editor of MSTS. Maybe that will come in a later version.

You can... there is a 'pitch' statement in the panel.cfg that will adjust the angle of your line of sight, negative is down and positive is up... set it to -0.1 to begin with and make fractional changes *Edit*
Ah stooopid beat me to it, but I gave more info Ciao Saxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

>and make fractional changes You mean start with 0.1, not -0.1? 0.1 would be facing down even more! I changed it to 1 once, and it faced the top O think, and it was all black. Probably I was going to shoot to space!

RE: New Highspeed

Thanks Stooopid and Wulf. I had never used the View-pitch parameters before, in fact I didn't even know they existed. After examming some of the trains that I have in my database, I finally found one that used it. I've added the following to my panel.cfg files.
pitch=0.15Is there also a parameter you can use to change the horizontal angle (or tilt)?

I think you should lower the view since it seems to high when comparing to exterior photos of the train. It can be adjusted in the #COCKPIT section of the train.dat, the second variable. The first is the to adjust whether you are sitting to the left or right, the third is to adjust how far you are sitting from the front of the train.
