Tom,Drive the ATS-P version of Tim's Yellow Line with the L75 Nexus train and this will hopefully show you what does what... basically, to make it through a pattern without getting tripped, you must be doing less than 5 kmh over the limit, else it's all-stop time, the train halts and you have to cancel and re-engage the safeties. Sometimes you make it if the brakes are already on when you enter the pattern, but you still need to scrub off the extra speed The final station at Civic Center has a fail-safe trip, so that the train will always be caught if it does not slow down enough.I actually just drove this again this minute after heaven knows how many months and it's still great fun CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

How to set up an ATS-P speed trap is easy. The command you use is the .Pattern command in csv or @Pattern command in RWThe syntax is as followscsv .Pattern x1;x2 rw @Pattern(x1,x2)x1 = Would be the type of pattern you want to set eg. 0 is temporary speed restriction eg. Curve, switch etc. 1 is permenant speed restriction. e.g on a straight away maximum speed limit you can go.x2 = Would be the speed limit in kilometers.
If anyone has any questions. Please PM me and I'll get back to you and try to explaining in as full of explanation as possible.

So that means this can fully replace ATC? I don't think ATS-P will brake to 45km/h about 300m before the station's .stop.
So if you put 0, temporary speed restriction, when does the temporary speed restriction end?

Eh, where did my signature go?
Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...

RE: ATS-P Speed Traps

It ends at where you put it eg 1500 meters....What the temporary speed restriction does is if your going very fast or something and i want you to go at 35 kmph for a cross over. It will give the Ptn approach light on then it would goto break apply and it would break to that speed u specify in the pattern command by where the .pattern command is in meters so it would slow it to 35 kmph by the 1500 meter. It's kind of hard to explain. But I hope your able to understand what I mean. Adam

As soon as the PTN light goes out or turns green (you should also get a sound), which means you have passed the transponder signifying the end of the pattern restriction.CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve
