Most of us, if not all use the delevoper mode do we not?
One thing that ive found very annoying, is having to change the Developer ID to my developer ID number, which ages ago, i found this document on it, and it suggested just "12345678"!Most routes already have this as their number (i think) but why don't route developers put this one in anyway, and all BVE simmers just use the same number?
Makes things easier, but what do you think?

Developer ID had been created for debugging routes. It is not the standart mode of BVE. And developer ID is ususaly deleted in final routes' files.
If you want to see route very quickly, the best way is track viewer. So I don't understand that need of common ID, even if '12345678' is the most simple way to type something quickly without error. All the best.

Yes, I can't say I particularly like the idea of lots of people scampering about running routes at high speeds and closing the doors prematurely! Developer mode detracts from the realism for playing BVE in some regards. Let it be if you ask me. Tim Frost

Eh, where did my signature go?
Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...

Well if you are operating a train in One Man mode you have to close the doors so for me that adds to the realism. That is the only reason I use it.

Yes.
Routes had been builded to be run without Developer mode.
While doing in other way than the author's choices, you are not respecting them.
If you want do use developer mode, create a route using it by yourself. It will be your choice, and everybody will respect it.

Developer IDs are supposed to be unique to authors. There are some things you can standardise and some things that you cannot standardise.
