Hi,An new Japanese route has been released,(9 Sept 03), Details below.....Route............ Tokyu Toyoko Line
Location......... Tokyo
Length........... 9.5 Miles, 28 Minutes to drive
Scenery Detail... fairly basic
Station / Track Detail... excellent
Train Included... No (DL details given)This is a new route and is not the same as the original Toyoko Line !
Tools Required to repair files for 9X Windows OS.... (XP users should have no difficulties in opening it)LH MeltingNB, If you don't know how to alter Japanese routes theres my article, "How To Download,Run & Alter Japanese Routes" (v3.1).
It contains all you need to run the majority of Japanese BVE routes correctly, (with screen shots), and also how to anglify the route files with freeware programs and sources of Japanese railway infomation plus a full picture list of Japanese railway signs and their meanings. To get it .....

Hi Alex,Most of the BVE Japanese webpages have screenshots as good as this now but I don't know what the secret is, unless it's running BVE in window mode and then taking a screenshot ?John

>Has anyone managed to get past Tsunashima driving this route? For some reason, I stop there and can't go on, yet the code for the last three stations is in the file. Maybe there is some code that needs fixing but I can't find it. Same thing in Track Viewer - only can go to Tsunashima.

HiTo drive the full line, the ";" has to be erased on the following lines:16275 before ".sta"
16470 before ".stop"
16775 before ".sta"
17970 before ".stop"
18925 before ".sta"

Thanks a lot - it worked! I think line 16775 should be line 17775, at least that is where I found the ".sta". I really appreciate this fix, because I also fixed another Japanese route with the same problem. Now I know what to look for.>Hi

HiHow the hell I missed these faults, I don't know, Apologies all round.There's also another fault with the 05-132 file, As you will have to deduct 1 hour off the station times from 16275 onwards and well done for finding and fixing the fault Smile2evan !John

Toyoko-sen

I rode this line frequently in 1970-1973. Sakuragicho was two stops from my home station, Ishikawacho, on the Negishi Line, pictured to the right. The approach into Yokohama is stunningly correct.

NEW Japanese route for DL *(9 Sep 03)* – image 5

This is a very nice route, the trackwork is stunning even if the scenery is a bit sparse. It's easy to think that much of Japan is full of grass, but this line is probably surrounded by buildings, big and small. A bit confusing sometimes to imagine what it is really like, but imagine the task of accurately re-creating 10 miles of city running! Possible, but it would take years if you had a life outside of BVE! Thanks John, it's always appreciated! Tim Frost
