If you were to send a letter to Mr. Mackoy, with a wish list for features not currently available in BVE, what would you ask for?To start it off, here's my list.- User-defined signalling
- Dynamic trains, which could, theoretically, "cut off" your train, and affect the signalling
- 5m track element base instead of 25 (the sim can still undraw at 25m increments, though)
- something in the train.dat file that enables automatic application of emergency brake if train passes a red signal (at faster than 5Km/h)

>If you were to send a letter to Mr. Mackoy, with a wish list

>ask for? Dear Jim,Please can you fix it for me to get BVE 3 with the following features.1 - The ability to drive a route in either direction.
2 - Some way to randomise train performance to replicate an ailing (or even failed) train.
3 - Shunting.
4 - Moving objects (e.g. passing trains).
5 - The ability to set dynamic signalling to penalise late running at appropriate places (throat of New Street station, perhaps). Thanks ever so much.Technical Numpty (aged 29 1/4)

I would have only two requests: Signal objects as standard .csv/ .b3d files (Much easier for semaphores!) and support for animated gif files.Chris Leeswww.bvecornwall.tk -BVE Cornwall: Providing QUALITY Steam for BVE!

BVE Wish List – image 2

Re SPADS stopping, it will work, and does in Picc v3 .My first request, as a route creator, has been for more objects to play with, but since we now have plenty to play with (thanks!!!), i'd say Animation.--

RE: BVE Wish List

I agree with the switching and how about to go with it being able to have 2 different cabs for locos who need it for the switching, instead of manually selecting them. I mean like locos that have long and short hood ends like the nice one by Vince. Black. Also to go with the above how about auto night/day cab switching as well.Yes this means there could be for a loco 2 cab phots + either 2 or 4 copies of each gauge, but wouldn't it be nice.

RE: BVE Wish List

I would like to have a feature in a future version of BVE where you can drive the train in either direction of a route.

RE: BVE Wish List

Is that why I haven't really seen any american commuter routes online. I want to buy this soon, especially since it should be good and cheap with MSTS 2 coming out.Correct me if i'm wrong and there are lots of routes I didn't find.

RE: BVE Wish List

http://mackoy.cool.ne.jp/trifle/ check this link out. Run through babel fish first though. Mackoy is making a new version of BVE using Visual Basic .Net which allows Full Direct 3D support which means you can specify the resolution you want and there's several other new features that I'm too lazy to put. Read the link and It should tell you.Adam

the screen.) That's what I'd like to see. Christopher Tarana

BVE Wish List – image 8

See --->BVE Wish List – image 9That's the next gen of BVE! *drools*Side views would be nice too... maybe 8 different views, triggered by the keyboard numbers 1-8, each displaying a bitmap and rotating the camera to a specified angle and position, so 1 could be the cab, 2 left, 3 right, 4 passenger, 5 passenger (different position), 6 secondman, 7 and 8 for whatever train creators think of .--

RE: BVE Wish List

That means BVE will operate in 1024x768 mode!

--You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!--
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it?
Told you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted 5 seconds!
