Just to put you both straight, my update to this route was BVETSS compliant, and included proper signalling in place of the original dummy objects.I think courtesy might have required you to e-mail me and ask if I mind you mucking about with what I have done, too Central Trains. If I find any of the route from Westport onwards to Hammerwich in with any of this I am not going to be very impressed. I know Phil Brooke was the original author, but he is no longer contactable and I took my authority from Steve Green and Anthony Bowden who were the main authors of objects in the route when I updated it to include OHLE from Moorfield to the mainline junction, proper signals and other things. I know I screwed up the timetables, but personal circumstances have dictated that I haven't been able to sort it out as yet.I hope this is not going to turn into yet another BVE copyright war. I certainly don't intend to start one.

RE: Engineering Works

nobody PM's people here unless its to gossip and from reading both posts on this matter- there has been no mention of "Engineering Works" from Westport onwards, so in effect Chris started something that is not there. But still, all is sorted, and everything is okay- it would be nice if they were both updated and realeased at the same time?

RE: Engineering Works

This will be my final statement on this matter, for the benefit of cl180 who decided to put his five eggs in earlier:My main comments here referred to the signalling alterations - you may remember if you have been around long enough that the original Phil Brooke's Moorfield to Westport used dummy objects as signals. When I extended the route, I added proper, working BVE signals in the same places (to avoid changing the character of Phil's work too much as he was not contactable for permission) and added dummy AWS to these signals. This was something that took a long time and was not an easy job. I was simply stating that I didn't wish for anything to be done to my extension route, that is all. This matter is now being discussed between myself and Central trains and I hope that we may now be able to bring about some improvements all the way round between us Central trains, you have PM.

Glad to see this combined project can proceed in a business-like manner.I think now is a timely moment to remind all would-be route authors/updaters to get permission before posting anything public about the intended work, that way we will avoid the potential conflict and bad feeling that nearly happened here.THINK before posting!!CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve
