hi, hi, hi....hi i have this terrible problem with bve and is that when i try to play it it says that it cant initialize direct3d and i've installed the latest versions of directx that i know that will runh (version 8.1) and i've downloaded recent but not latest drivers for my video card (not the latests since they're not signed with that WHQL stuff) here are my specs: Celeron 766 mhz 256 mb ram Geforce 4 mx440 se 64 mb PCI hd 20gb and thats that. ps: i have uninstalled directx 9.0a since no games would support it (nfshp2) so i used a directx eraser (directx eradicator version 1.08) i dont know if its of all the many times i've unistalled and then re-installed directx that has screwed something on the directx dll's or something like that BUT i can still play games like gta3, wwe raw, MSTS and nfshp2 without any lagging or low framerates, also i had installed the intel 810 chipset which had onboard video and with that one installed it didn't give me any problems but my geforce shouldnt give me any problems either since its like a milion times better than that thrash of integrated video. thanks in advance The Clorgo...
Make sure you have calosed all other programs like Structure Viewer and Track Viewer, and close any other ga,es that might be using Direct 3D. If that doesn't work then close everything except Explorer and Systray (using CTRL+ALT+DEL).Then check. If it still does it then your computers missing something ...
