I'm about to extract a sizable number of pedestrian images from video footage I've taken of some rapid-transit excursions, and would like to know what is a good resolution to re-size the extracted images to for use as textures on people objects for some currently empty BVE station platforms.---PCJ

Best size for passenger object bitmaps? – image 1

as long as a bitmap is of the correct size, it should show properly. it depends on how well you manage to capture the images anyway.
at least 64 pixels in height anyway.

I know the chance of this happening is near nil, however, wouldn't one be quite surprised to find themselves in a rail sim by chance?

So, whatever will fit within a 128x128 or 256x256 bitmap is good? I'd like at least some detail to be visible as one passes by. I've seen some passenger objects that were so severely pixelated that it was hard to imagine they came from photographs.---PCJ

"The guys in the screen above are taken from a 128x256 - 8 bit colors bitmap, here it is:"From the arrangement of vertexes, it appears they are ordered from upper-left and proceed around in a clockwise manner. Correct? And would the placement of the object be relative to it's 0,0,0 point or the first vertex?Ah, so the bitmap doesn't have to be a perfect square, I see. Fine--I'll try to resize my cutouts to fit a similar image. Thanks.---PCJ
