If there a program that can calculate the distance away from track 0 if we are on a curve at the moment at 25 m intervals?I want to move a track away on a radius of about 1650 m while we go at -2500 m. Any help appreciated.==================== James Dickinson www.brj.rr.nu www.bveroutejunction.co.nr

hopefully, this should help the true radius in relation to track 1 is 1650- 2500 ----- -850m the formula i use is this (and i'm not very good at using excel, but i advise you to use it:) length*(sin(length/(2*radius)) so 0,. curve -2500,. railstart 1;0, 025,. rail 1;0.368, 050,. rail 1;1.47, 075,. rail 1;3.307, and so on. i think i'm right but you'll need to check it first

Fiddeled with the radius and got this out of it. Looks very lifelike. Only smoothified on the right.==================== James Dickinson www.brj.rr.nu www.bveroutejunction.co.nr
--You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-- Eh, where did my signature go? Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...
Glad I could be of help. that's how i did Colton and Templehirst junctions. if you reduce the accuracy of the position by 1 or 2 DP, then you can introduce 'badly maintained track' although this will only be apparent in trackviewer
