Others- Too much trial and error needed... Up until now, I still use Trial and Error... Is this releated to Psychological?

Think it must be working out the texture coordinates so you can have one image and reference different bits - managed to mess up several objects whilst learning but got it cracked now .-- Tom Beevers (I think....) http://brj.rr.nu
Hi Gang!!All of the above, and then some.I am having to use a healthy dose of trial and error in getting things right. It doesn't help that I'm a total perfectionist and like things to be "just so".My biggest barriers are time and getting access to the PC. My wife's a teacher and uses the computer most evenings for work stuff. Unless I stay up until the wee small hours (which trial and error coding often requires), I just don't have the time to get anything done.Technical Numpty
I think that figuring out initially how the coordinate system worked in objects was the biggest hurdle. Once I realized how to make faces everything else came second nature, except for texturing which was the next biggest hurdle. It's not the easiest concept to grasp until you have a concept of the BVE coordinate system, in my opinion.
Time? Time is a factor, lack of, or too much as some have shown in the past But one thing I have found is I eventually grew to hate my creations.-- Nathan Whitington
Time is definitely a big factor. i tend to leave problematic objects for a week and return to them with a fresh head! Co-ordinates are easy for me sorry! (Hands moving to 25x 5y and 1z to mouse to click! )
>Co-ordinates are easy for me sorry! (Hands moving to 25x 5y >and 1z to mouse to click! ) Erm? Z? You have a 3D monitor?

stoopid, i think he means that that is what he does when typing in coordinates! If anyone has a 3d monitor though, could they tell me where they got it Derek kaye
