Hi Again,A Japanese route has been released (07/06/03), It's of the Kintetsu Railway Yoshino Line (roughly 30 miles south east of Osaka). The route takes 7 minutes to drive, 2.4 miles long, extremely detailed and includes the train as well.to get it...Go to..... http://www.geocities.co.jp/SiliconValley-Oakland/3399/And download...Yoshino890.LZH (3.68Mb)(You will need LH Melting to alter the route file name when blown)You will find syntax errors when first run. To fix these open the signal folder as indicated and SCROLL DOWN all the .csv files in that folder. You will find some garbage script at the VERY BOTTOM. Remove then save. The correct station names in order are.....Tsubosakayama
Asuka
Okadera
KashiharajingumaeThere's also another Yoshino file up to the same detail (2.75 Miles 9 Minutes) ...
The correct station names for this file,in order are.....Muda
Yamato-Kamiichi
Yoshino-Jingu
YoshinoBTW if you don't know how to alter Japanese routes theres my article, "How To Download,Run & Alter Japanese Routes" (v3.1).It contains all you need to run the majority of Japanese BVE routes correctly, (with screen shots), and also how to anglify the route files with freeware programs and sources of Japanese railway infomation plus a full picture list of Japanese railway signs and their meanings. To get it ..Go to ..... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BVE/files/(It's a 838Kb download)John.

Nice screenshots they have got. At least there are objects. Japamese BVE routes tend to be bare, with only the emphasis on the route but not the background objects. Be nice if the whole route could be driven for the Kintetsu Yosino Line, all the way to Osaka Abenobashi. For your info, Kintetsu is Japan's largest privately owned Railway company after JR, which the goverment still have shares in it. They have a network that spans over the whole of Kinki prefecture and Nagoya as well, with destinations to major tourist destinationsOsaka, Nara, Izu, Nagoya, Kyoto and Yosino. The company owns its own trains, commuter or rapid trains and owns its own tracks, signalling and stations as well. Every major station have a Kintetsu departmental store, common for all Japanese private railway companies.

>A much recommended document: it's a must for every fun of Japanese routes! A little addition, if I'm allowed: to alter files in binary mode, other than the user friendly Hackman program, we can also use the Edit program being in every version of Windows (it runs in a Dos box). The only additional trick is to open files to edit in "binary mode". Cheers,
