Is there a good how to or tutorial on Locomotive sounds? I am to the point where I need to make the trains I am making sound acceptable. I want to know what file in the train folder does what.

RE: Locomotive sounds

I have looked, and I think I know what most of them do. Brake sounds and door sounds are obvious, the run sounds go to the track types as per the standard, that part I have puzzeled out. What I want to find out is how to associate the sounds with power and brake settings. Specifically, I want to build a dual mode diesel / electric. The first (3-4) settings would use electric sounds, the second set would use the diesel settings. I have seen a DMU locomotives, (one of yours ??) that vary the sound with the speed, so that you can shift the transmission at a given speed. I want to do something like that and am looking for a how to on that aspect.
