I amd just seeing what your drawing disatances are for...
--You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-- Eh, where did my signature go? Where has my favourite LUL train gone? Maybe it was sent for bolt checking again...
What means "drawing distance"?If you are talking of making straight rails with Routebuilder, I can make (in top screen) of 717 meters, but if you don't talk about this, excuse me.Rufus.

I get a steady 30-29fps at 600m on practically any route i run apart from at very complicated sections it comes down to about 14fps. and yes, my OS is windows 98 and no, I don't leave media player running.
Lucky you!I get a constant 5 fps on every route, whatever the drawing distance, except at complex junctions etc, where I've seen it drop to 0.5 fps . If anyone's interested, I've got an Intel Celeron 500Mhz, 128Mb RAM with an SiS (who?)620 graphics card.Time for a new computer I think, shame about me being skint Jed
I've not got an attitude problem - you have a perception problem
If you change your graphics card for a new one lower cost, I think you will increase a lot your's fps for few money. With my old PII 350MHz, with a Banshee, I reach 12-20 fps on first version of Sandymill. The SIS was an low cost, and low perfom card (IDE I think). If you want to change your computer later, choose now a good graphic (AGP) card with 64 Mo Ram (like TI4600 or best). That's a good one, and I always run routes with 25-28Fps (with my new PIV 2.4GHz) on XP.
Thanks ferrovipathe, I'd never even heard of SiS before, you're right it is very poor quality. Now I'm currently at PCWorld.co.uk looking at a GEForce 3 for £39.99 (not sure how many €)- I could stretch to that and I think I will Jed

Normally 200 because of my slow computer but some time just have to turn it up to see what I'm missing. When the scenery is low sometimes I can actually leave up a knotch or two.Tom
