Noticed that, "Vlako Sim" has been updated, Theres now a working speedo, (though it looks suspiciously like a Japanese BVE one), a cab tester and new stations tunnels and trainsYou can get it from ...... http://zelpage.goo.cz/vlakosim/index_en.htmlJohn
Your suspects are sure right, but we can also suppose that if BVE will be taken by example for realism in train driving simulation, probably it could result a great work! Luigi Cartello http://web.tiscali.it/lcartello/

I might have to delete this thread! If the MSTS people found out new developers were being inspired by BVE instead of Train Simulator they might throw a temper tantrum. Now I'll have to get another copy of Vlakosim and see what's been fixed. Christopher
Well, than I past here what's written about Bve on Anthony's site, so you can delete this thread at once! -------------------------------------------------------------------- from http://www.railsimroutes.co.uk/bvehelp/ :BVE (or Boso View Express) is an amazingly realistic cab view only train simulator, developed by a sole Japanese developer Mackoy, and best of all it's freeware! BVE features some of the most convincing cab motion and rocking effects any commercial or freeware train sim has to offer, and is extremely flexible where route and train building is concerned, allowing very realistic representations of routes and trains to be created and driven. BVE also boasts some superb sound effect capabilities - if you enjoy listening to the sounds of wheels clattering over pointwork, flange squeal when rounding sharp curves, or for example the unique sound of 3 phase AC traction motors, then BVE is hard to beat! --------------------------------------------------------------------Luigi Cartello http://web.tiscali.it/lcartello/
Hehe Luigi,Cats and pigeons perhaps?Let 'em weep I say!CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve
It's interesting to note that Barney at CroTrainz is endorsing this download - and pretty effusively. I've never contacted Barney but I can't believe he would condone breach of copyright so is it appropriate to suggest that someone who has had more contact with him gets in touch to inform him of the BVE community's reservations about this site?

There's no copyright issue. Steve Green has agreed to let the author use his BVE panel and he's got a credit on the Vlakosim homepage too. There are links to BVE's homepage, even though the control system is nothing like BVE at all. I hope he gets the rough edges ironed out. There were some initial reservations because the community clearly saw no credit to Steve. Now that that's been amicably dealt with it's a non-issue. Christopher
