RE: Guides for help.

Ill second the motion for a guide on setting up signals.Id love a compilation of tips, shortcuts, and advanced techniques for building AND placing objects.I enjoy learning by experimenting but it would be great to have a collection of tips from the experienced developers to speed up the learning process.

>Tracklaying using only freeobj rails & switches, and NOT
>using .turn statement (i.e. .curve to make bends/direction
>changes), Linie 10 is a great example. In confidence, I never understood the turn command.
In Loop, all curves and switches had been built with curve() and freeobject().So tracklaying.Cheers.

RE: Guides for help.

.turn is simple! Just define howmuch you wnt to move to the left or right every 25m! Here is an example, moving 5m to the LEFT (so -ve) in 25m, so the ratio is -5/25=-0.2
Then to cancel the turn (as it will repeat every 25m), where you wnat to just enter the opposite! see below:25 .turn -0.2
50 .turn 0.2

Agreed. I've used the .turn statement in the Middlebridge Line, and found that as long as you compensate for the other lines and keep them relative to the running line, it works very well.....I've also used the .curve statement to make direction changes over switches in the Middlebridge Line.... I suppose it's just whatever suits the situation best..... I think that crossing between parallel lines is best achieved with TURN, whereas turning onto a branch, etc, is best achieved with CURVE. My two pence...........Peace,

I use .turn if you are crossing over to another track.

HAPPY NOW? It's not moving anymore.
It's still the same train but in another livery, that's all.
