I wonder what difference the AWS will be when driving?ThanksKarlos

Having beta tested this route, I can say that you're REALLY in for a treat. The AWS is accurate even if you're running behind the designed signalling pattern, you'll never hear a 'bing' if you're in front of a yellow aspect. When you do come up on a warning or red aspect, the AWS will sound and you simply press 'insert' to cancel it.It seems very very realistic, and certainly makes one pay attention!Enjoy, I know I did and will continue to do so! Quite so, there are several nice surprises in this package and beautiful detailing abounds everywhere... not to mention the stunning new sounds in the AWS trains and the many different runs diagrammed for them.Go get CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

"HST < Virgin Challenger 5 car Version> ps.. the route file exists, but the train doesn't .. at the time of writing this page! ;o)"A link goes to the BVE in Glasgow site.
David- is there anything you are wanting to tell us? It says about Virgin, well the current HST (43184) used to be virgin, but MML now have it, but still in the Virgin livery. It is currently at Etches Park, Derby, well it was last time i saw it.
PeteMany Thanks,

The first version was already good usually I ride it with cl170 (turbostar).
And that is a nice evolution (tried with cl421).
It 's a must drive for any bve fan.(even with long time rendering)
the graphic's and the sound are outstanding.
As I live inside a sort of park I get confused with station
nature sound ,just pick volume down to realize that it
was from the route

RE: Brighton-Treston Park V2 released

Another excellent set of routes. Its amazing how BVE has developed over the past few years. My total admiration goes to the authors. What will be next ?Can anyone tell me what the large circular signals (with the black bars) mean. When are they used and how do they differ in meaning from the normal red/amber/green signals ?Also, at Treston Park, the approach signal is red with 2 white backing signals. You are invited to proceed with caution yet when you pass the signal there is a signal violation message at "Mister Angry window". What is the problem here ?

RE: Brighton-Treston Park V2 released

Well the signal with the two white lights is the calling on signal.
For example: you are approaching a station coming in onto platform 1a but there is a train on 1b. with the section not clear you then use the calling on signal to move into that section with precaution. the large circular signals (with the black bars) are repeaters often referred to as a "banner" signal. It is a black band on a white disc which repeats the position of the semaphore arm. (Correct me if im wrong please)BTW great route!!!

Many thanks to "Central Trains" & "Stoopid Person" for giving me the information about the unusual signals and their interpretation on the new southern routes. The routes have certainly encouraged me to download the latest versions of the rolling stock.

Thanks for everyones positive feedback, I hope you are enjoying driving the route as much as I have.I have uploaded a fresh set of route files, with a few small fixes for the Class 73 routes. Thanks to David Lawrence for noticing the glitch. For those who have e-mailed asking about the Littleton Dock reference on the route map - no, this isn't in any of the route files at the moment, but I thought it would be a nice little extension for the future All the best,
Steve

RE: Brighton-Treston Park V2 released

BRILL!What an amazing route, the wait was well worth it! The route is now top class and amazingly realistic. Thanks to everyone involved! The working AWS adds a great degree of realism to driving the routes, now all we need is the working sunflower... oh and maybe in the future TPWS? There seems to be a lack of freight runs tho. I understand the hard work needed in coding a route, but is there a possibility of someone with the know how coding a freight run? Perhaps involving waiting at signals, being put on the slow road, being put into sidings etc?And also, are there plans to release night versions?Stefan

Hi rjs23564,The circular signals with the black bars are repeaters or relay signals, placed at points where the following aspect is obscured by something like a tunnel, bend or other impediment, it displays or 'relays' the aspect of the next signal.CiaoSaxon Locomotive Works - "The difficult we do immediately; the impossible takes a little longer"http://www.zodiac-infosystems.co.uk/rail/bve

Well Steve youv'e done again! Well done! I have totally enjoyed all those route files they were great! Especially the BAA! (if you have driven the HST file you will know what I mean or just look at the sound files!!) I certainly like sound surprises, as You will know if you have BETA tested the DLR! (BTW more to come sound wise in the DLR route!)

RE: Brighton-Treston Park V2 released

On the subject of banner repeaters, when the black bar is horizontal, this shows that the signal ahead is "on" or at danger (showing a red), and when the bar is at 45 degrees it shows that the signal is "off" or clear (showing yellow, double yellow or green). This means that a driver passing the previous signal at single yellow, and expecting this signal to be at red, can seem from the banner repeater if the signal has already cleared before the signal has come into sight, therfore enabling him to accelerate earlier. They are used where the main signal is blocked from the drivers view until fairly close up, usually by either a sharp curve, a bridge or a station canapy.
