Hello there folks! My name is James and I am pretty new to BVE and train simming stuff having been and still am a flight sim addict. However I am enjoying BVE immensly and as a result have concluded that I also enjoy train simming having always had a passing interest in trains. I suppose my interest comes from spending many an hour travelling on them and I also spent two and a half years working for national rail enquiries(I realise their reputaion I too have had bunk info from them) here in the UK. Anyhow I came here with a problem which i'm hoping to get some help with.I have just installed Tom Beevers Piccadilly line V3 with the 3.2 update and the 1973 stock which I downloaded from uktrainsim.com. I also downloaded the Error 53 patch as I was getting the error report when I tried to run the route. My problem is I have no idea what to do with this error patch. This may seem like schoolboy stuff but like I say I am just getting famillier with how these files are put together having spent many years with flight sim and not a lot else. How do I apply this patch?I appreciate your responses in advance. I feel I should also point out that I have spent quite some time searching the forum on this subject but could find nothing relating to this issue.
HiThanks for your interest in the route .You need to unzip the file to C:/Program Files/BVE/Railway/Object/Piccadilly(alter the C:/Program Files/BVE bit if you installed BVE elsewhere)Hope this helps, if not don't hesitate to ask again.Tom-- Tom Beevers http://tombeevers2000.free-hosting.org.uk/piccadillybve/
Hello Tom.Thank you for the quick reply.Ok I tried what you said and it did not seem to work so I unsinstalled the whole thing and installed the whole thing again excluding the 3.2 update. I still got the 3 error 53 messages which were as follows:C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Route\Picadilly Line\CFS-UXB-Day-2003.csv(207):error 53:File not foundC:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Route\Picadilly Line\CFS-UXB-Day-2003.csv(775):error 53:File not foundC:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Route\Picadilly Line\CFS-UXB-Day-2003.csv(982):error 53:File not foundI then did as you suggested by unzipping the patch to the correct folder. Upon trying to run the route again I still had the 3 error messages so I then installed the 3.2 update. Previous error messages where no longer there but instead a new one appeared:C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Route\Picadilly Line\CFS-UXB-Day-2003.csv(981):error 53:File not foundThis was the only one I got. I ignored this and the route seemed to load up. I'm not sure how critical this is but it has left me wondering and to be honest a little baffled.Another thing which I think I should probably mention is that upon installing the sounds which I got from Uktrainsim.com I had an error saying somthing about Unexpected end of files try to download again. I did and the same thing happened. Thanks for your help on this i'm very grateful. It's more of a learning thing for me at the moment.Kind regardsJames
