Is there any one else who is planing to do the elctric train on the Isle of Wight?I have starting researching it downloading some pages of the internet and have found a book that I can order, but don't want to get too fat is some else is going to do it before me, no good having many copys of it.Just for your intrest I won't be starting the actual building for 6 Mths probly till I get that computer upgrade so Routebuilder will work fully,I hoping with the kind permission of other authors to build it with objects that are already around. I will need some Artistic help to repaint some LT 1938 stock, Some units in the Red,Blue white livery and Maybe a Driver unit only painted in the Dinasaur livry to sit half out the depot and I think there one other livert red and Yellow I think as well. The PW cars I might get way using some I have already seen?, any one willing?Any idear and help welcomeOf course I will need some one to host it when completeTom

RE: Isle of Wight

I remember someone was doing a fictional IOW route based on real life long time ago at Crotrainz. I think the author has abandoned it anyway.

HAPPY NOW? It's not moving anymore.
It's still the same train but in another livery, that's all.

RE: Isle of Wight

>(I wasn't sure there was a 38TS object around BICBW ..) There should be a 1938 object in the unreleased Northern Line.

RE: Isle of Wight

Thank you for your replies, any other idears that might help Objects that you think that would suit ect, please write to me by this forum or direct, as i said I will take all the help I can get to make it look good for all of us. Is there any way of finding out who started that Fictional route and how far he got and if he is intrested in letting me what he has?. Even a few objects that he has already got permission to use for the line would be a start, wounder why he lost intrest?.Orded the Isle od Wight book today, Have been looking at the litle pop up boxes that tell you about places of intrest, somewhere to start, also starting working out distances from the Pier on...Tom

RE: Isle of Wight

The last time I saw anything about that half-fictional IOW line was maybe mid-last year.

</snipit>Hello! You're more than welcome to have a word with me, thank you for the kind comment lol, I have some pictures from my last trip to the IOW, of the area around Ryde station and the pier head, plus a background file you could use. If anybody wants them, do email me:nwhitington<remove>@aol.comJust as another thing, if anyone is interested in Bluebell railway for BVE, I have a load of photos of Horsted Keynes, or even if they are just doing the line from Haywards Heath to Horsted Keynes.I think Richard Griffin (http://metadyne.tripod.com) has some sounds from a 38 stock over the Ryde Pier, and a sound going into the tunel, with a chime on it. I'm sure if you requested permission prior to use, that he would be more than happy to allow you to use them, best contact him anyhow. The Island line is electrified at 630vDC and the signalling is still semaphore. For more information on the IOW railway, the team at Ryde Depot/Works (it doubles up as both) have a website, I think it's:
www.page-email.freeserve.co.uk, if not do a search, its run by two people called Mark & Sara.Good luck and if anyone would need objects or help, do let me know.
