IUt is now 12:00 eastern time in the US. Santa has arrived at Harolds square in front of Macy's ( no relation unfortunalty) Department store. The Thanksgiving day feasting can begin at any time and the Christmas season is upon us. To all of you in the US, happy Thanksgiving and for every one in the community enjoy the holiday season. I thought I had re anounced it, but you get older and CRS creeps in and maybe I did not so:The BVE Christmas tree route is back on my download site http://home.cfl.rr.com/bvefl/ and here at train-sim library and (soon I hope) on uktrainsim. It is about a 2k download and includes train. The route is what I would look like driving a model train around under the Christmas tree. I use it as a Christmas screen saver. Here is the read me from the download:
This is a small route for Christmas. It is just a train running around a tree. The route uses the random command to generate a different set of presents each time you run the route. this was created for me to study the RND command, and I like the result. I still do not really understand the command, but it does produce some nice effects. Since the route is 999999 meters long, you can run for along time. Pick your favorite locomotive, create a folder under trains called XMAS. Copy the contents of your locomotive folder to the train folder XMAS. Copy the file KLAXON2.WAV from the XMAS\sounds folder to the train folder. The loop horn sound (ctrl enter) will play a Christmas sound. You can also use your favorite song here. Rip it to a wave format call it KLAXON2. You may also want to delete the rub.wav if it overpowers the music.UPDATE: Luigi Modified one of his trains for this route,it is included in the zip. Unzip the xmastrain to the train folder. Keep the speed under 15 km so that it looks and sounds correct
