A long time ago in this forum there was a discussion of canals. I think maybe inspired by the canals on Antony Bowdens routes. This has stayed in the back of my mind until recently. I want to add a canal section to Inner Harbor, after all what is a Harbor with out boat traffic. I have posted a small canal route at my site http://home.cfl.rr.com/bvefl/ in the downloads section. The route is not for BVE 4, although the boat is. I will eventually expand this and place it in the Inner Harbor ( he says wondering if he will ever finish it). I will keep it in the general non restriced downloads until the end of the month. Comments welcome
Never occurred to me!I'm not in BVE, but you have given an idea for MSTS.I could have the canal connections for the Allegheny Eastern and Lehigh & Atlantic (both circa 1859) that actually work! That would be cool!Pittsburg on the All East has canals right next to the depot...L&A has canal connections in Mauch Chunk and Easton. They wouldn't have to be static. Just thinking in 19th century terms in general, all those side wheelers that made connections at lakeside depots and other places. Now all I have to do is build the routes...
