The link should appear in my signature. The changes are mostly related to the wiper and raindrop sounds, which are now possible to implement. You should only download the package if you don't have the previous version, or if you need the additional sounds in your train.

Hi Oskari,Thank you for the effort to bring BVE to a even higher level of detail. I don't know to much about C++ coding, so I'd like know , if it is possible that a plugin can change BVE's graphic engine; for example having greater distance view, shadows, moving clouds etc. Well just wondering...because I am interested in scenery stuff. Thanks again. Bogdan

I'm using it with the pending BVE4 compatible version of my Denver Leadville Gunnison 2-6-0 Steam Engine. I'm considering using the rain BMP function to simulate flame flicker in the firebox, & the wiper BMP/WAV functions to simulate the pull chain & steam whistle. You have a Boiler Pressure Safety Relief setpoint; is it possible to trigger a BMP file when BOILER PRESSURE is high to simulate steam discharging above the steam dome?A more general question: After working with your plugin for a few days now, I'm wondering if its possible for a plugin to include a 'variable programmable batch function' that would allow a train developer to have an event occur if a selected variable went above or below a selected setpoint, or even random events as the route distance (odometer) advances. For example, if SPEED on a curve exceeded a selectable setpoint, the DLL would execute a batch file that runs given BMP/WAV files or even an inserted MPG file, simulating a wreck. This actually happened several times on the high passes on the old Colorado SouthPark line when trains lost their brakes.2nd example, if BOILER LEVEL dropped below a selected setpoint, the plugin would execute a batch that simulates an explosion.3rd example, if BOILER PRESSURE dropped below a selected setpoint, the plugin would execute a batch that simulates opening the firebox & shoveling coal.4th example, when approaching a road crossing, the plugin would execute a batch that would run a series of BMPs or an inserted MPG that would simulate vehicle motion at the crossing. This could also be used for station platform activity, a herd of goats/cattle/deer on the tracks, right-of-way maintenance activities, etc.If possible, it would be best to make the variable, the setpoint, rising/falling/random value, and the resulting event (BMP, WAV, MPG etc) selectable by the developer; this would open many possibilities for both onboard & trackside events.Wild Thoughts & Wishes,

Bogdan: As much as I'd like to, there's no realistic way of altering the graphics engine.Ron: That's a load of features you're suggesting. Some of them (fire + steam animation, whistle) could possibly be implemented more easily with a native support from the plug-in. The events and such that you described are quite far from possible I'm not going to touch the plug-in for a while, unless bugs are found. I want to see first how extensively it's used in routes and trains, and add more features later on if it appears successful and popular.
