I tried to run Northern Line (the latest version) on BVE4 and seemed be OK till a Red Signal. It stopped automatically and couldnt move it again. Then I found the earlier version of the same route (Edgware-Morden which includes night textures also) and this one worked without any problem. Is it possible to move the scenery files from the new version to the earlier version. Espacially the tunnel views. Or does Mr. Steve Green plans to make an BVE4 version?
The reason for this is that the earlier versions of the Northern Line did not use working AWS (I have the feeling this may be the wrong one but you know what I mean!). The way in which AWS works in BVE4 is different than earlier versions and so the result is as you found. It shouldn't be too hard to put the tunnel textures into the old route, just a question of copy/paste.As for Steve's plans... all I know is that he is a busy man... so we'll see what he says. I am also intrigued by this possibility... over to you Steve...
The reason for this is that the earlier versions of the Northern Line did not use working AWS Thats right but the new v3 route has a working tripcock thats why it stops and wont start. You have to reset the whole system to make it move again.
Hi,As Central Line said, the route has working tripcocks so if you pass a red signal the brakes apply. Unfortunately this doesn't work properly in BVE4 at the moment, so I'd suggest editing the route file to remove all the tripcocks for use in BVE4 beta.1. Open the route file in wordpad.2. Use the search and replace facility: Enter " .tr 4, " in the search field (without the quotation marks!) Go to the replace field, and just press the space bar. This will replace the code with 'nothing'.3. Save the route file. You'll be effectively removing all the bits of code that provide the tripcocks.Cheers Steve www.trainsimcentral.co.uk www.bvetrains.co.uk
Thanks it worked. On Edgware-Kennigton it runs perfect but on Kennigton-High Barnet direction the last two signals just before High Barnet are Red and not coming back to Green.
