I'm revising the DenverLeadvilleGunnison 2-6-0 Steam Train for use with BVE4 & adding animation using Oskari Saarekas' plugin DLL. One of many differences between BVE2 & BVE4 is train sound RUB.WAV. I used this file in BVE2 to simulate the squeel/coupler/car-hump sound when 'braking at speed'; in BVE4 it doesn't work. I thought about using the new BVE4 SOUND.CFG brake commands:{Brake Handle} Apply=Sound_Brake_LevrSrvcUp.wav Max=Sound_brake_LevrSrvcMax.wavfor the 'braking at speed' sound, but this is inappropriate if the brake is applied when already at zero speed. Any ideas how to duplicate the BVE2 RUB.WAV train function in BVE4?RON DILLARD At Home In Beautiful Bailey Colorado, 'Gateway To The SouthPark'

Not sure at all to have understood the exact question... excuse me if the answer is out of sense.I've noticed two empty section being in the sound.cfg file of 113_6 train for BVE 4 by Mackoy, these: [Suspension] and [Breaker]I don't know if they are reserved for features still not implemented (there are no instruction by Mackoy about the sound.cfg file), but, what about to try this?[Breaker] 0 = Rub.wav(just becouse there is this other one: [Switch] 0 = Point.wav)Edit: Sorry this is a stupid answer: breaker is by sure not concerning with brakes: it probably stand for circuit breaker...Cheers, Luigi Cartello http://bve.altervista.org/ http://web.tiscali.it/lcartello/

Though I'm writing these train configuration files with plenty of comments explaining each function hopefully making it easier to use & develop BVE4 by example. I'm also assuming the {Breaker} command section is for electrical circuit breaker sounds, though I haven't tried it yet. I'll take a look at the SOUND.CFG explaination that Martin noted is on his German website (with a German-to-English web translator!). Thanks,
