Hi all,Its been a while since i first started this project and so far it progressing relativley well. Ive been juggling work, college, bve and of course having a social life ( aswell as filling in endless application forms for a full time job! ) If you have noticed too I actually updated the website (God knows how)But down to what you want to hear me thinks. The route is about 56KM long, so quite a daunting task ( Not as daunting as Watford Junc to Rugby by Anthony Bowden, which i guess is alot longer than 56KM or to say that Edinbourgh to Dundee by Don Clarke which must clock up some miles saying its getting on for a 3hr drive!) Ive been having a play with the code and its surprising how time flies when you really in to it.This is Etwall AHBThis is the Manual Gates at HiltonMy home station, reopened in 1989 after it was shut in 1969 (i may be wrong) but not in its former glory Part of Uttoxeter racecourse ( im dreading the rest as its really visable from the railway line)Uttoxeter stationBlythe Bridge Station Please note this is not the finish product. Its just a progress report to tell you im actually doing something! :dId like to thank everyone who has helped me on the way so far, you know who you are http://www.midland-bve.co.uk

Aah Derby to Stoke..........................That really REALLY annoying railway line that you have to take if you're going to Manchester, all because someone thought it a really clever idea if they cut Derbyshire in half by closing the Matlock to Buxton line, so putting an hour and whatever on to the journey! Never mind that the Peak District now gets clogged up with traffic in the summer because there is not much alternative transport!Just think of the tourists it would bring in?No, you have to go to Stoke instead!Oh! Sorry! didn't realise I was thinking aloud!!!Your route looks impressive - I look forward to it - remember; Size isn't everything! Well done!Patrick
Well done, Shane. All the best in your progress for the route. Maybe, we should suggest to Network Rail in opening up the Matlock Bath-Buxton Line again, to compliment the Derby-Stoke line, in case of engineering works.
route looks great. i travel along this line often between crewe and nottingham and instantly recognised many of the stations! cant wait for the release keep up the good work!
