This may be a stupid question but does BVE have any external viewing or is it only internal in the cab view when running the simulation.?

Outdoor view – image 2

>And with it only being an Internal view only it makes it
>more realistic, because the driver cannot see the train from
>the outside while hes driving. The thing about 'another simulator' is you can pretend do be passengers, either at stations or on the trackside Also, you can use the cab view to stop, and you can then check how you did, especially useful when driving a 2 car unit in stations that only hold 2 cars. The driver's thingie on the right hand side in BVE isn't as good as an exterior view
An exterior view wouldn't be that good anyway, as BVE routes aren't scened very far out from the track.http://www.virtual-rail.co.uk - My Railway Simulation Website

RE: Outdoor view

Seems BVE was written mainly with passenger service in mind. If your thing is freight shunting, I'd recommend another simulator. Outside views are invaluable in such operations. BVE was my first simulator and I'll always use it but for freight service I will simply use MSTS. But BVE is freeware, so I can't complain too much.

RE: Outdoor view

I prefer the way BVE feels, i mean id love MSTS IF it felt as bouncy, etc as BVE. I mean MSTS I personally dont feel that the train has any "weight" to it, like when stopping etc, just doesnt feel right. :: shrugs ::
