I seem to be having problems with BVE. When i try to open BVE, it comes up with the BVE logo in large, and then a message comes up saying 'could not initialize direct 3D' and then BVE closes. i used to get the same message but with DirectSound instead of Direct 3D. But this does not happen anymore. Is it a PC problem or a BVE problem? I have been using BVE for a long time, one day it works the next day it does not!

Sometimes Direct 3D doesn't work when you already have a DirectX application open. For example, sometimes if you have a full screen directx program and the screensaver comes on, it says DirectX "cannot initialize direct 3D" Hope this may be of some use.
Still comes up with same message. I tried closing all programs except Systray and explorer and came up with could not initialize DirectSound... I miss BVE!!
