Detail:
BVE Heavy Industries is a Japanese firm with divisions in over 20 countries. See:

for a list of locations and associated companies.
The company has traditionally been involved in Heavy and Light rail project as a supplier
of infrastructure and rolling stock. The company has been involved in several small non rail
projects including airport, monorail and cable transit. These successful projects have
encouraged the company to branch out into other markets. Many of these systems and projects
are still unannounced, however the company has expressed and committed an interest in entering
the road transportation business. The recent release of a small Automobile by a related company,
found here:

has prompted the company to open its new road test facility. The company has provided a simulation
of the new facility at:

The road test track is a two lane test track equipped to handle automobile, bus, trolley bus and
other rubber tired transportation. The company plans to add a Light rail test track in Lane 2
of the facility when needed to test urban light rail transit cars.
The track has a section to test the handling on 30 meter radius 90 degree left and right turns
followed by a rapid set of 30 degree 50 meter radius curves. This will help determine max speed
through a curve. The next section is a 5 mile / 10 Kilometer high speed test. This section
contains measured 1/4 mile section for the traditional acceleration test.Kilometer and mile
markers are on the rest of this section to allowed timed runs. This section ends with a marked
stop test from max speed.
The next section is an increasing steep incline. This begins at 1 degree (10 on the BVE scale)
and climbs to 20 degrees ( 200 on the BVE scale ) in 1 degree (10 BVE) increments. This will
determine the max. grade that can be climbed. Most vehicles so far have failed to make the
full climb.
The final section is a 500 mile loop for endurance testing. It is inclined about 20 degrees
to allow max. speed during the test.
BVE Industries is proud of it new test facility and encourages its associated companies and
partners to try the facility and to bring new vehicles to it. BVE Heavy Industries Public Relations Department. For immediate release.

==================================================================================================What all this means: I have had a small road test track sitting on my hard drive for about a year.
The release of the Rover car gave me something to drive on the route, and it was fun. I cleaned
the route up a little, added some very basic scenery and have posted it on my web site. I have run
this in BVE version 2.6 and 2.9 with no problem. 2.3 may have a little trouble with the curves.
The route can run in BVE 4 beta, but on my machine, I can not use the Rover car. I used Martins
new train and it seems to work fine. Most of the objects are mine except for an open source
fence made by Lamontte and a couple of Route builder objects. The route is built in the traditional
Japanese form of a very simple route with very little scenery. This should give good frame rates
even on the simplest system. The route is uploaded to my Site ( see link above). comments, as
always, appreciated. Have fun and happy motoring.
