Help! When ever i try to play BVE it comes up with the following message
'Could not initialize DirectSound'. Is this a BVE problem or a PC problem, and can it easily be fixed. I have no clue how it happened. One day it is all working fine, the next day and it doesnt. If it at all helps, I have BVE version 2.6.3, and Windows ME.

You must have any sounds closed, if a sound is played whilst starting BVE (eg. a music file is played or a windows sound etc.) then it will return this message.Make sure that any applications using the sound output are closed.
