I've been making some additional routes for Maybank so that there will be as much variation as possible with the next release. One of my stated aims was to develop all of the branches that appear along the route and to that goal I have nearly completed the Blackbrook branch. It runs from the site of the old station, now just a platform, to Whitminster just 3 miles away. It's not electrified and the motive power will be 142/150/158 DMUs. The services will run to Riverside and both Hammerwich and Hobbs Cross via a new line that I'm working on now. This new line leaves the main line at Roundway Junction, just past Whitminster, and will rejoin the main line at Frankley Junction. Again this is not electrified and will use 150/158/170 DMUs as motive power. To help you get the full picture here's a plan and a couple of screenies of the branch.Tony H Midlands 25Kv

Alex
I think that's the LT underground style, is it? If so, then I guess that I'll give it a go. Centro will be after my services if this works out OK!Tony H Midlands 25Kv

IMO it's the closet you can get to detailed infromation about line layouts and distances without reading a sectional appendix...The LT map 9dervied from Beck) is completly different. (But a simmilar style map for Maybank would be very useful..)Alex
I've just taken a look at the Quail Map Co products and now see what you mean....detailed ain't it? http://rodcorp.typepad.com/photos/variousthings/railway_trackmap.html shows an example. I might have a go at one but not at the expense of using too much route coding time, but I do take your point, it would be nice.Tony H Midlands 25Kv
