New beta version bve4.0.1653.2273

Just noticed that the new BVE beta to download is now 4.0.1653.2273 dated 11-7-2004 (it's already tomorrow in Japan) and the Uchibo route is now "uchibo42".Going to download and investigate about differences...http://mackoy.cool.ne.jp/beta/download.html page (past the address in the browser - the link can't be clicked).Luigi Cartello

Also you will find a new structure viewer.
With this viewer you can export .csv files into the new .x format
All the object files of the new Uchibo route are in the .x format.

I couldn't get any Maybank routes to load using the .1986 beta but this .2273 version loads them ok. There is a mixture of .b3d and .csv files in my routes so this new version does at least run both types. It looks as though the .X format is probably going to be the standard, however. Looks like a lot of converting is going to happen!!Tony H

>but most still does not. Hi Tony, bit strange that - it worked for me, although I had to drive the non-AWS version to avoid getting the brakes dumped approaching yellow and red signals . Which bits failed to work? I did notice that Mackoy changed the name of the signal.bmps around in the 'default' folder so all the green BR signals came out double yellow, bit of renaming sorted that out though.

The cabs colours are all corrupted and the background is all blue on some of my new routes. The 323 cab seems to be ok and the background is fine except, like you say, the signals are all wrong. I'll have a go at sorting some of this out later this afternoon. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.Tony H

That link doesn't work for me When I go to the download page, it says the most recent version is:2.6.3 - Released on 27th of March, 2004I also can't seem to find the Uchibo download for some reason......

I downloaded it but the installer was in japanese... I could install it without english but last time I installed a Japanese or any other language program for that matter, I got major problems with the registry and stuff... is it really good enough to warrant the struggle or should I just wait?

Neither does v2.6 on my machine!
XP pro.I have not yet sorted v4 out so cannot comment on it's good or bad points.Pete
