ngeoff No matter what I do to unzip these files I can only ever select the route and then the dreaded message 'Error Subscript 9 out of range' appears. Can anyone put me out of my misery and tell me in simple language a non-computer expert can understand, what it is I am doing wrong? Thanks in anticipation (and desperation!)
First step is to check that you have unzipped the files to the correct directory. Under the BVE\Railway directory (usually C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\), you should have sub-directorys for object, route, and sound. Look in the "object" directory and see if there is a sub-directory there called "Loop" - Like wise look for "C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Object\M'field-Westport". ie:C: ..Program Files .....BVE ........Object ...........Loop ...........M'field-Westport ...........+ any other object subdirectory for other routes If these sub-directories are not there, that will cause the error 9 message. Check and report back if your still having trouble, or need more explanation.I don't recall how these routes were zipped, but what I usually do is extract the zip archive to a temporary directory and then copy them into the BVE directory (folder). You may have unzipped them somewhere on your hard drive other than the BVE directory, In which case do a search for "Loop" for example, and see if that sub-directory is in the wrong directory. I hope that is not too confusing - directory and folder mean the same thing...I think his Highness Bill Gates wants us to call them folders so I usually call them directories!
