>that the file does not exist.....>Probably a Geocities bandwith problem. I got the same message at first and then tried later (0500 GMT) and got most of it. Can you believe Geocities will cut of mid-download if bandwidth is exceeded? Anyway on the third session an hour later, I got the remaining part of the download. Oh, a download manager of some sort (I use Star Downloader) is essential to avoid a lot of frustration.

New Class 165 – image 5

Does anybody know how to get this train working on the 323 run of Baysfield - Hulcott Park?On BVE 2.9, an error occurs, which I ignore:
C:\Program Files\BVE\Railway\Object\stme\87_VT.csv(12) : Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
and so on...Then the screen is covered in loads of blue vertical stripes.
On BVE 2.6, everything loads ok, but the background has the same vertical blue stripes?

-----You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-----
Or probably, maybe you should waste your time reading it.
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it's probably too bright to see it.
Hey, look at my avatar, nice right? I drew it with my own hands holding the mouse in Paint, with the pencil tool(and the Filling tool!)!
It's a picture of me in Planet Stooopid, where everything is the same as what you call "Earth" except that we are called "aliens" in your planet.
Anyway, I warned you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted probably about 30 seconds reading it, where you could have spent the time doing better things, like maybe reading the next post below if there is one...

No good asking me, as Phil (Stooopid Person) has mentioned, the error message in BVE 2.9 is caused by some kind of error in the coding on the class 86 and class 87 locomotive objects that 2.9 doesn't like. The blue lines in the distance in 2.6 and 2.9 is supposed to be a city skyline, for some reason, it doesn't show it very well If you haven't already got the updated and additional route files for Bay Park, here's the link: www.superduper.eclipse.co.uk/Bay_Park_Additional_Routes.exe (what a shameless plug !!!!!! )And apologies for mis-directing the original thread from the release of the class 165, I have managed to download it, all at once, all on my first attempt, and am just about to give it a go.CheersSacha

SLUGS !!! He created slugs, they can't speak, they can't hear, they can't operate machinery. Are we not in the hands of a lunatic here? If I was the creator of the universe, I wouldn't fluff around with butterflies and daffodils, I'd start with lasers, 8 o'clock, day 1, POW !!!!

RE: New Class 165

New Class 165 – image 10

LAST EDITED ON Jun-10-04 AT 01:52 PM (EDT)

The errors are caused by a single missing 'CreateMeshBuilder' statement at the start of my 86/87 object files, with BVE 2.5 or Track Viewer there were no error messages generated so I didn't know the problem existed. I hadn't really looked into the problem until recently as BVE 2.9 was only a beta release. To fix the X-City 86/87 error messages in BVE 2.9, extract the contents of the following zip to the BVE\Railway\Object\Bham_X-City_South\Day\Common_Files\Generic\Trains\ folder:http://www.railsimroutes.co.uk/x-city_south/downloads/ACLocoPatch_Day.zipThe contents of the following should go in the BVE\Railway\Object\Bham_X-City_South\Dusk\Common_Files\Generic\Trains\ folder:http://www.railsimroutes.co.uk/x-city_south/downloads/ACLocoPatch_Dusk.zipFor other routes, you'll need to find out where the developer chose to put the 86 and 87 files and replace them, or preferably edit them to include the line "CreateMeshBuilder" just before the first "AddVertex" line in the two files. There may be differences between my X-City 1.2 versions and those used by other people (not sure now), I think the same advice applies though.Anthony.--
