Has anyone this very nice australian route. Since shutdown of CroTrainz, this route, like others from that site, has vanished from Net. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks. P.S. BARNEY - BVE is waiting.By the way, I'm announcing first Croatian BVE route VALLIS AUREA (12km long) from central Croatia. Of course, it will take time because I'm just starting...

Last time I looked it was over at http://www.trainsimcentral.co.uk-- Nathan Whitington <><
HiThis Australian route isn't the one at TSC. The one at TSC is actually "Rocky Mountains", but with a name so simular, I see how Nathan got them mixed up. By looking at http://bve-routes.com/index.php?lang=&country=aus, the line is by Bruce Kennwell but his site is offline.Damon Cox - http://www.virtual-rail.co.uk
Hi allThe Snowy Mountains route is indeed a very good route, set in the Blue Mountains in Australia. It was converted from the Japanese Keio route (originally by Gaku) by Bruce Kennewell way back in the days of BVE1. The Keio route in turn I believe was the first fully scenic BVE route.Sadly, even if you could get hold of the route, it does not work in BVE2. The coding causes the track to be corrupted. This does not occur in BVE1. So why not use BVE1? Two reasons 1; It is unobtainable and 2; it is completely in Japanese with no English interface and is much harder to use and install than BVE2.It would be a good route to update into BVE2 I think, but sadly you are stuck at the moment. Paul
Just to clarify....the snowy mountains route ( although fictional ) is actualy set in Southern New South Wales, Australia ...not the Blue Mountains...which is 100kms west of Sydney.. The Snowy Mountains route is basically an updated "australian" version of the scenic Japanese Iida line, while the Blue mountains line by Bruce is a version of the Keio route as stated above by Paul.Bruce Kennewell did a great job with the Blue Mountains line, but my favourite "aussie" route would be the Snowy mountains route. The motive power being in the quise of a 44 class diesel electric (Alco). p.s....Also check out the Eastern Suburbs Line(bondi) by Mark Thompson.Cheers! Paul
