Blighton night resurected – image 1

Hi folks,I've uploaded the long forgotten blighton-treston night route, be it with a few bugs. It was a quick solution, with no real changes in scenario from the day route files, so if anyone wants to make changes (engineering works, freights, etc) then I'll be happy to receive them.www.trainsimcentral.yellowcheese.com/routes/blighton-treston_objects_night.exe www.trainsimcentral.yellowcheese.com/routes/blighton-treston_routes_night.exe Actually if you find any bugs it would be a help if you could report it via PM, and I'll do my best to fix it up in the next few months.Cheers
Steve

LAST EDITED ON Mar-14-04 AT 09:58 AM (EST)

SteveWell what can I say. I've just driven the Blighton to Hattle run, I have had to got out now so I can't comment on the rest of the route.
Here are a few things from after driving this short distance. I wish this run made use of Littleton, like the 2000 day.I'll start when exiting Blighton and it seems the screens show up better. We know glide out of the tunnel accross the the sea wall and is that one good effect with that sand? I had to run a day one as I thought the tide had gone out We pass a Wessex Class 442 with it nice, white headlights on, flashing past.
We now pass a cottage at the side of the track, on the right on a hill with it's lights beaming out.
We arrive at Northwick with an Electrostar by our side, running over the beams streaming out of the passengers' windows.
We depart and shortly pass Littleton and I really wanted to stop there but it seems another Networker going in the opposite direction beat me to it.
We soon arrive at Hampton with a good view of the platform texture in the dark, with an Electrostar to one side and a Slammer to the other. after departing Hampton, we see some hous on a hill to the left and a road with a long terrace to the right but when you travel past each lampost, the right hand side of the bem seems to go, leaving only the left hand side of the beam. The last one seems to flicker.
Soon enough I find myself arriving at one of Hattle's bay platforms with some nice, bright buffer lights ahead of me.Thanks for this, Steve.Damon Cox

Hi Steve!Brilliant work mate!Remember when I said I was making a update for your SRV2 route with some new act's and trains objects ect, well sadly I had to scrap it due to PC going wild, BUT I still do have the objects on CD so prehaps I can start again this time with new night ones too!...Christopher

RE: Blighton night resurected

Sorry to reply here but I could not find your email or PM address.I find that the 1980 night semi-fast route crashes in BVE and Track Viewer around line 20200. On looking at the route file, there appears to be some out of place line numbers and duplicate line numbers. I have tried to straighten it out but it stll crashes. Of course, that is probably because I don't REALLY know what I am doing. Now, to make things more interesting, the local route appears ok (at least in track viewer, have not tried it in BVE) and its route file appears to have the same out of order line numbers! The only difference I can see is the Engineer line in the semi-fast route - line 20400 and "20351 @TR(0,0)" in the local route but not in the semi-fast.Hope this helps!

RE: Blighton night resurected

Correction....While the lines are kinda out of whack around line 20200, the 1980 night route actually crashes around line 7550 between Littleton and Hampton, after the 85mph speed limit sign. Both the 1990 and 2000 version of the semi-fast route appear to be fine.

RE: Blighton night resurected

Has anyone had the chance to try the 1980 night semi-fast. I am curious to know if it works for you so that I can determine if it is just a problem at my end. You don't even have to use BVE - you can use track viewer and try jumping to "Hampton" - if there is a problem track viewer will crash to the desktop.

RE: Blighton night resurected

Thanks Damon, that is exactly what I get so now I know it is a route error which I will try to find when I have time.

It also seems that on the eight car, 2000 era Thameslink 319 stopper, it seems that only the stations as far as Hattle are given timeings, although the route continues all the way to Treston Park.Damon Cox - http://www.virtual-rail.co.uk
