RE: Eurostar

A friendly Warning!Be careful when Installing. The Installer was not built as well as others, and defaultly pluts the train elements (eg, Motor1, Motor2, Panel.BMP, ect) in the main Train Folder, not in a sub folder.IE, the Class 170 is Program Files>BVE>Train>cl170>(Train Elements)
The Eurostar is Program Files>BVE>Train>(Train Elements)My advice is to install it to a New Folder on the Desktop, then rename the foler, and place it in your BVE Folder.

RE: Eurostar

I like the digital speedometer but I think it could be placed in a better location so that it looks more integrated into the panel. Also the digits appear not to line up. That said, this is one fun train to crank up to some amazing speeds!

Yeah, it's fun to crank up, but I don't think those on the Victoria Line appriciate the Eurostar on it . BTW, sorry for all the tile damage

You're fired.

RE: Eurostar

The Speedo does not line up, correct, BUT, if you look closely, the Zero Starts at the top, and by the time it gets to the 9, then its at the bottom. This could be the effect of Scrolling numbers.

>This could be the effect of Scrolling numbers. BVE can't simulate scrolling numbers.

-----You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-----
Or probably, maybe you should waste your time reading it.
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it's probably too bright to see it.
Hey, look at my avatar, nice right? I drew it with my own hands holding the mouse in Paint, with the pencil tool(and the Filling tool!)!
It's a picture of me in Planet Stooopid, where everything is the same as what you call "Earth" except that we are called "aliens" in your planet.
Anyway, I warned you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted probably about 30 seconds reading it, where you could have spent the time doing better things, like maybe reading the next post below if there is one...

You're right guys, this was what I was trying to simulate, whether its like this on the real thing or not. Also for a later version, does anyone have any photographs of the cab for a photorealistic cab view.I am working on getting permission for some better sounds, and I am also working on animated handles.

RE: Eurostar Feedback

Greetings.Having tested the eurostar for a cople of days I have discovered a minor problem. If You move the throttle to full speed ahead (6) and then reduces to step 1 the train stil runs like You are using step 6.
It keeps accellerating all the way to 299 km/h. :-o
If I reduce to 0 (Zero) and then back to 1 the trains looses speed as it was supposed to do.Otherwise I think it runs great.ChrisD

thanks for the notification of that glitch, I will try and ensure this is corrected in 1.2. Also I have permission to use better sounds in 1.2, so should be available with new sounds, and corrected acceleration by next month, however I am very busy studying for exams now, so you'll have to wait a little time for the 3rd version. I don't understand it ... in "Site news" link I found only a message "Eurostar is about ready! - Eurostar Version 1,1 is now on beta stages and will hopefully be released shortly".
In this post you write that Eurostar is ready for download. In "Downloads" site is only Ramsbury route for download and in "Our downloads" site is Eurostar photo cab with text "Download - Is Offline at the moment Sorry about that. The Eurostar will return soon". But maybe I'm blind or what ... or maybe it's caused I was in bar yesterday evening and today I can't think well , but please write me where you downloaded this train, it's too hard and difficult for me to understand it Thanks!
