Hello there, I am new to BVE and VERY much enjoying it I didnt do a default location install, as I have my PC organised a bit differently, but have managed to get most trains and routes working fine. I am having a problem tho with one of the routes. When I click on any of the routes in the folder (any of the six installed) I get an error saying "D:\Other Games\BVE\Railway\Route\SWT Routes\SWT -ECS.rw(37) : error 53: File not found"This message applies to any of the routes I choose in that folder, but the error message points to the route I selected. All the routes are installed in D:\Other Games\BVE\Railway\Route\SWT Routes\I noticed that I have route files all over the place in BVE. Are they all supposed to be in a specific folder? Its just that I have route files in D:\Other Games\BVE\Railway as well Is there a tutorial or a pictorial overview of the folder tree on what files are supposed to be where? I am trying to find a way to print out my explorer view so it may become obvious why I get these error messages. Thanks so much for a gr8 product Makoy! Cheers Chris Johnson
Hi Chris and wellcome on the forum!> "D:\Other Games\BVE\Railway\Route\SWT Routes\SWT -ECS.rw(37) : error 53: File not found"This means than at line 37 in the route file SWT -ECS.rw (being in the folder D:\Other Games\BVE\Railway\Route) there is a reference to a missing file (may be also a bad name). You can find (in English) a good help aboute addons installation and aboute the BVE files structure on Anthony Bowden's Rail Sim Route UK site. Go at http://www.railsimroutes.co.uk/ , enter the site and look for "BVE Help & Informations" link. You can install BVE whatever you want, but the structure of files and folders under the BVE installation folder (usually C:\Program files\Bve for US and UK Windows versions) have to be respected.Cheers,Luigi Cartello http://bve.altervista.org/ http://web.tiscali.it/lcartello/
