The review of BVE over at <http://www.trainsim.org.uk/bve.html> has been updated!BVE now gets 95% - the author understands the dedication of all the people who help here, and it beats M$T$ and other commercial products!Quote: For those like myself who want a decent, out the cab train simulation, BVE cannot really be beatenGood stuff, and hopefully a sign to all the developers that you are all doing a really great job!Take a look!RedSam
I've ALWAYS thought that "For those like myself who want a decent, out the cab train simulation, BVE cannot really be beaten."I like free things, we all do. The internet has given me so much. It really is a great information service. When I found BVE and got it going on my PC, I began to wonder why anybody would want to pay for other, often inferior, commercial products. Now, I'm totally convinced BVE is the best railsim. I'm sure that a lot of big companies are seriously looking at BVE, Microsoft especially. I just hope that everyone involved will keep it all free and just do what they can to prevent money from coming into any part of it. Tony H Midlands 25Kv
Agreed, but hey, I still enjoy MSTS. On UKTrainSim has loads of stuff which is top notch and free, yes, even routes! Remember there are thousands of MSTS fans who make top notch, free stuff! Surely that should be noted. Some are even younger than me and do 10 times better than I ever could!Damon Cox Shameless Self Promotion
I agree too, but for me I must admit for a little shunting and some very nice narrow gauge action as well I'm starting to like Auran Trainz, but it does not stop me from still like BVE. Both the programs seem to have heaps of Dedicated people who spend lots of time creating all kinds of things for us to enjoy... Just to mention one there is a person in Trainz who is building a new route who says he has planted so far 1,800 trees... now that is dedication.Tom
