I was wondering if there was any way that the signals could have a more realistic effect. My vision is a signal that changes from yellow to green as the train approaches it, as if the signal is being timed with the train. And I want it so that the signal changes like this no matter when the train passes it. If the train is late, it would have the same effect (I think that this means that Track.PreTrain is out). The concept derived from what are called Grade and Station Time signals (follow the link for more info). Is there any way that I can effectively accomplish this task?-Robert Marrero
There is one way:Create an yellow signal object (only ligths screen) at, for example +74.5m on z. Place it on your route at -75m before the real signal. As you arrive on signal, suddenly, at -50m from signal, yellow screen vanish and you see only the real signal (which is green). Some explains: BVE draw objects only from -600m to +25m (when you put them on route), and then erase them. So, if you put an object which is longer than +25m, when train arrive at +25m, object vanish. All the best.
You can see this coding of signals and the station monitors on my underground u1 and on my tramlinie 10/11 where are the traffic lights are working.greatings Martin Finken http://BVE-Train.de
I've seen that, but is it possible to do something similar to that that changes at variable lengths, more of a time-based system, like something that changes color (hypothetical numbers) 2.3 seconds after the train passes the previous signal, whether the train is moving at 20 or 65 Km/h?-Robert Marrero
