RE: NEW Japanese Route to DL *29 Jan 04*

I downloaded the objects file and extracted both in XP and 2000 (at different times)to temporary directories. I tried to rename the 5 "Japanese" named files (2 CSV's and 3 BMP's) in the "Bridge" subdirectory, so that I could use them on my own computer which runs Win Me, but was not able to open them in Hackman, Windows Commander or any other program! I tried to rename them in both XP or Win Me. I got an error message that the files could not be found. Any suggestions? I have been able to open every Japanese rout to date!
Many thanks.

RE: NEW Japanese Route to DL *29 Jan 04*

I just read the detailed revised instructions on downloading Japanese routes and found that the example was for this latest route. I followed the instructions completely and was able to install the route! It is not as interesting as some of the other Japanese routes and seems to have some errors e.g. only parts of passing trains show up at stations and powerlines floating in the air over bridges. Nevertheless a great lesson in using Hackman. Many thanks!

RE: NEW Japanese Route to DL *29 Jan 04*

The "Local" route uses a different train (E231-800) which is unavailable - I went to the site and used Babelfish and from what I gather from the translation, the BVE files, including train required for the "Local" route are temporarily unavailable. In the meantime, I am using the "Fast" train - the Eidan05c_Tozai. Oh, please notice the train file name for the fast route needs to be changed to Eidan05c_Tozai or you change the train folder to Eidan05c (omitting the "_Tozai) either one should work.
