Hi AllThought you might like to see an old-un on BVE.This loco built in 1955 was the for-runner of the class 55s.
Those of you that have visited the National Railway Museum in York
will no doubt have seen this magnificent loco. Thanks to Robert Peach ("Deltic Bob")for the use of his photo.Cheers
Bryan

I think the view is too restricted, you can't see anything much out of that window.

-----You are reading my signature now, don't waste your time reading it!-----
Or probably, maybe you should waste your time reading it.
Eh, where did my signature go?
Oh, here it is, the one you are reading right now? Can't you see it? I know I know, it's probably too bright to see it.
Hey, look at my avatar, nice right? I drew it with my own hands holding the mouse in Paint, with the pencil tool(and the Filling tool!)!
It's a picture of me in Planet Stooopid, where everything is the same as what you call "Earth" except that we are called "aliens" in your planet.
Anyway, I warned you not waste time reading my signature! You have just wasted probably about 30 seconds reading it, where you could have spent the time doing better things, like maybe reading the next post below if there is one...

>I think the view is too restricted, you can't see anything
>much out of that window. Hi stupid,The picture was taken from the drivers seat at the York Railway Museum. The loco was built in 1955 and was really the UKs answer to the American EMD and Alco locos of the time. Very often, even today, prototype models are short on practicallity and over the top on looks.
Being of average height 5'-10" and having sat in that very seat I can assure you that the view is very restricted unless you go armed with half a dozen cushions !Thankfully they did away with the huge headlight and shortened the bonnet slightly when the Class 55 went into production. One other thing ...the panel bitmap was reduced in size by 75% to conform with the forums max of 100kbs.CheersBryan

Hi Bryan,
It's looking very good. I'll definately download this if you decide to put it
up somewhere, I'm sure you can make a deal with SLW. If you want
I can make an executible for it and host, when/if it is ready.Damon Cox
