RE: New route

Well that didn't take long to be found. Zane gets the hawkeye prize for today!I hope you like it folks. I'm sorry it's only a short part of the route, but I felt that it would be nice to get something out for Christmas. Eventually the total length will exceed 45k. It may be 60k, I'm still building and decided today to add an extra 15k as the HST needs a good blast!I would like to thank Steve Green in particular for the advice and work that he did on Maybank and for hosting the route for me. Several other well known developers have been very supportive and I thank EVERYONE of you who has built objects and allowed me to use them in Maybank.BVE has a great following and the BVE community is second to none. Have fun.

Superb! Very nice route to drive. I like the mainline feel of it. Hopefully it will eventually become as long as Hammerwich. This really would give the HST some miles to drive at speed! My thanks to the author and good luck with developing the rest!

RE: New route

PeterK, glad You like the route. I know it's a bit short and the HST is difficult to move along at a good pace but I assure you the bit past Riverside is about another 45Km and the HST does manage some good running. With any luck the full route to Hammerwich is possibly going to be ready by April 2004.For those of you who are using BVE 2.5 - I'm sorry that the marker signs that inform you of stations etc are not that great but if Mr Mackoy releases BVE v3 then a whole new way of showing driver information may need to be installed. At present the v2.9 beta is the best way to run the route. It was written with v3 in mind, but it's good to know that it isn't too bad with v2.5.Tony H

>where is the problem? That happend to me using a download manager - I then checked the file size and it was only 1kb so I downloaded it again using the default windows downloader and this time it worked. So check your file sizes. I am using Windows XP, and also got the DOS command window on the first download that did not work.

YES! That was the problem ... thanks. But I would like to know why some files are O.K. after using Download Express and some not. Can somebody explain me it? It is caused by multiplying download?

I decided to give a break on my BVE work to play this one.
As usual, a very nice work indeed, superb sceneries,
works well in my ancient PII 400 at 19 FPS. Can't wait for the
second part. My congratulations!Cheers from Brazil,

RE: New route

What a fantastic route, and a freight activity included with a class 56. The first time a class 56 has been given an activity I think. The route has a real Midland flavour to it, and the scenery is only one division below Cross city south. Hopefuly in the future the author will turn his considerale talents to a real route, from what we have seen here we have a lot to look forward to.
Well done, you get my vote for best new comer of 2003.David
