Damon, I have checked the forum for the Euston to WJ route.Do you have any idea if this is the WCML, that could then join to Anthonys route, or if it is the DC local route calling at all stations to Watford Junction?RedSamCanterbury

Great, the day i lose my internet and all THIS happens!
Euston- Watford is only about 14 miles, but there is much scenery to look at, Willesden for instance. I remember being taken to Euston many a time when I was a lad, and so would look forward to it!

hi all
this is good news. not the fact that v2 of WJ-MK is cancelled but the new extensin to the route. This is one of my favorite lines. Glad to see it being done. Are you going to do it all the way to Birmingham New Street one day?

Andrew,
If he continues passed Rugby, after a nice long rest, he may join the Cross City at New Street and seperate gain onto Lichfield trent Valley Low Level platforms, Cross city trains use the high level platform(s).You never know with Anthony Cheers,
Damon.

But as you said you never know!Virgin trains run through the low level Platforms on the trent valley line, and the Cross City use the line that runs above and perpendicular to the WCML. If Anthony continued into BNS, it would go down a treat if the lien carried onto Wolverhampton, and you never know a diesel run to Shrewsbury But that would take a long long time!

Great news Anthony Looking forward to this one.Damon, Nathan means you can't get from New St to Lichfield TV Low Level. The WCML to the Trent Valley line goes from Rugby via Nuneaton/Tamworth to Stafford and does not go near Birmingham.

Thanks for that Steve, shows up my geography. For some reason I thought they both went up the right hand tracks of Proof House Jcn and split just before High Section to Duddleston, although you could go via the line from Tamworth.
Sorry for doubting you Nathan.Thanks,
Damon.
