Hi Zane,
It's a real shame your PC has gone haywire, but on the subject conserning the DBSO, if you didn't record sounds or make the panel, what exactly were you doing? The statement "The only train I am going to make now is the Mk2F DBSO97", isn't totally true. How about you give the cab a go, it isn't as hard as it looks, once you find out the right shade of blue (#0000FF) and you have the right sized cab image (480*440, unless you have a speedo on above the info box on the right, an example is the superb unit by Joshim Nur for the DLR).You could restart the other trains at a later date, once your PC is sorted out. I am sure there are plenty of people in the community, willing to give you advise and the spot of help with the production of the trains.Yours,
Damon Cox.

<scratches head> I pointed you in the right direction to the owner of the guages zane.... i have no problems with you offering an alternative panel. In fact this type of work ive got no problem with at all, on the condition that if you use elements of the original panel you ask permission, but if you completely redraw it, then there is no need to ask permission, in zanes case he wanted to reuse the guages, in which he did the right thing. I can only hope other people who want to do the same follow suit.I think its a good idea that people wish to try and improove on the current stuff, espeacially trains. If the end product turns out better then we all benefit. What i dont like is people like peter mackosh who simply take a cab from MSTS and not a very good one at that and try and release it, or get an existing cab paint some new numbers on it and try to fob that off as a new cab.I dont think theres anything wrong with this type of thig because time will tell, if people like the new cab or sounds or whatever then they will download it and use it, but if they dont then they will stick with the original.

Well said, Giz. The more the merrier, a reasonable improvement on an old thing (not new numbers only, that is ok but none too special) is a very good thing. Nothing like a new members' imagination to bring new life to something old. Not that there was ANYTHING wrong with the old, but there is always room for improvement.Maybe an old dog can't teach an old dog to do new tricks, but the new dogs (new members) have shown the old dogs a thing or two many times since I've joined the community.I always love seeing what new members have to contribute... you've got such a good start after that rocky section, Zane, don't stop now! HiWell theres a bit of good news, i found a screenie of my 143 cab update and i saved it and had to paint the window blue again and done a few 3D buttons and textured the body and looks even beter than it did before... Im pleased to say that the 143 is still going ahead! but as for the 317 well unless i go to peterbrough again and see one to take some photo's it will not go ahead But i'll try and get some money and go one staturday! so fingers crossed! Im also going to try and get some photo's of the cab from a DBSO so i can have a photo real cab as well as a anumated cab!Kind Regards
