I am trying to take some pics I have and use them for startup screens in msts. Problem is I cannot figure it out. I sent an email to the person who did up the CN newbacks and he courteously replied, unfortunetly he could not remember how he did them. So any help would be appreciated. I have read the articles at steamforme and they don't apply to the start screens or I am really a slow guy . Thanks all in advance for your help.
You mean like this ...Not sure if I'm doing it the way others do, but this is what I did . I use Corel Draw 8 for this work.1. I made a square box (I used 6"x6" but size doesn't matter as long as it is square).2. I placed my graphic (which was 1600x1200) I wanted to use at the top left corner and scaled it to the full 6" width.3. I grouped the square box and graphic as one and export as a 1024x1024 bitmap (.bmp).4. I then used MakeAce to convert it, using the command line switch to clamp it at 768 vertically (height). This gave me a finished .ace image which was 1024x768.That is a brief, quick rundown of what I do. I don't know if I explained it fully enough for you to understand, but hopefully so.Regards Ray
