Hi everyone:Someone expressed an interest in this building so here are some shots. I haven't got much of a clue about how to build buildings, and I havent reskinned anything. BUT, I found a building in the file library similar to a photo I had. I took that great model, a cement plant, from the library, called "algind01.zip". This is four large industries created by Alan Garrett - he used to be known as "romerails". Then I took a freight car with the Purina logo, also from the library - I don't know the creator - the only name in the file is "RailroadKing". Then I used TGAtools2 to open the freight car, cut the logo from the car, opened the cement ace files until I found one that looked right, then I tried that a few more times LOL, and finally found the right texture - and then found the right place, and pasted the logo to a new layer in PSP7 (that's about all I know how to do in that program - cut and paste) - and recompressed it with tgatools, and presto I've got a Purina building instead of cement.Hope you enjoy these pictures from my Northeast Georgia/SC Route. Working on scenery - it's taken about eight months to come fourteen miles, but I'm picking up speed. All track is laid, except for adjustments to spurs.Mark

RE: Purina - Gainesville GA

Hi Jeff:My post (above) describes this route as my NE Georgia/South Carolina Route. I've been working on it for a year, and am in the process of building Gainesville, Georgia right now. I started scenery in Lula, GA - not too far north of Gainesville - there's a branch there. For more info and pictures you can do a search for my posts in the route forum and also the screenshot forum. Here's a link to a recent update. http://www.train-sim.com/dcforum/DCForumID3/15007.html#8 The only update is that frame rates have dropped to 14 in some spots, now that I'm entering a city. They were at 18 near the Purina plant. Up in Lula they were about 24, as I recall. Thanks for the interest. I hope you enjoy the pictures.Mark

RE: Purina - Gainesville GA

Hi Pete:No, I'm NOT rushing. I've come about two miles in two months. I do intend to pick up the pace, though. Gainesville is my first big city, and I can always head north from Lula and plant a few miles of trees and a house or two to add scenic'd miles to the route. Love that North Georgia crowd. If you can find the time - it will be great for the route.ThanksMark
