Ever look through the lens and just had everything fall into place? Ever had to pause while surfing the net and save a pic so it could be included in your dedicated train folder for your "my pictures" screensaver? Ever spent hours carefully adjusting the throttle so you could get the right angle on a shot in Train sim? Ever spend hours using third party photo editing programs to add the special touch to your photo? Then, my fellow Canucks (and Others), you have come to the right place!Ultimate Bragging rights to those with the best edited or Non Edited Trainsim Pic or real World Pic. Winner recieves a half eaten bag of Tostitos and a box of Kraft Dinner! Let them Rip guys, and make 'em your best...Railways accepted: ANY RAILWAY WHICH RUNS IN CANADA...BUT...If it your photo features an AMERICAN railway...then it MUST BE ON CANADAIN SOIL. (Obvoisly only real world pics...we have yet to find a decent Canadian Route, KHP Excepted) Tell us where, and when and WHY you had to shoot these thunderous beasts of the twin steel snakes! You can enter as MANY TIMES AS YOU WANT.If the Photo is not yours, then give credit where credit is due! I know this is not always possible, considering the amount of pics out there on the Net, but if the pic isn't yours, then at least say so!

Well...this photo was definately taken in Canada, and features equipment designed, built, and operated in Canada...so I guess it qualifies then, right? This is one of the few photos that I've taken on a sunny day....and it's making me want to go back out, cold weather be damned!Dan

Ok, here's two more. They were both taken during testing for a new activity I created, CDNNEC02.zip, just uploaded here today.The first shot is a view from inside a VIA coach car as we pass an AMT F40PH.The second shot shows a VIA Train passing through an AMT "gauntlet".

Is it common practice for CN to run single units? I noticed most of the pictures have a single unit on the point.

Umm..
if they can they will.
you hardly ever see 3 units on trains this way(modern diesels)
But CN loves to cut costs so they will run 1 units when possible,

Ok, maybe I'm having a brain cramp here, but I don't seem to remember any Dash9s having the old style comfort-cab 4-piece window on CNR. Whoa!I've seen literally tons of CN Dash9s. I thought the only notable mention is their GE 4400hp locos have EMD-style droop windows (CP doesn't). I must only be looking at the profile view 'cause their goign to fast. I need MSTS view #2 Anybody know which ones have this feature? CN 2500-??-Christian

Not sure if it's 9423 or not, but in the past month or so there's been a GP38-2W working the Dartmouth yard (and the Eastern Passage Refinery / Autoport) coupled with a GP38-2.
