In the library- gne7a505. Its an E8 originally made by Jens-Chris Baerenz, repainted by Jasper Burmester to more closely resemble an E7.Here's the GN512(gne7a512) in early Empire Builder livery, also done by the aforementioned. Only change for my use was a different engine sound, and ran 'em both thru SFM. Also a head-end shot of the 505

One more GN set. FT's waiting for an assignment at Olympia station. In the library as gn_ftset, a TA F7 repaint to resemble FTs,by Jasper Bermester. Also ran thru SFM. Just did some CP F7s by Bill Hemb from waaaaay back in the archive. Man, this SFM is amazing! New life to "old" locos.

RE: Shape file manager

Thanks to the moderator for the edit in #2. New lesson learned: do not try to edit post containing pictures, doesn't work. Learning new things here every day, BTW, Brian did you find a copy of the 505 yet?

RE: Shape file manager

Pretty much, the results are not quite as spectacular as with the car body diesels. But still you can manage to add some eye candy. For example, these engines have a lot of flat and angular surfaces, that are dependent upon the position of the strongest light source, in this case the sun. Which is why most of the screen shots are on a high angle. No Fear, in the camera#4 position, you'll see fairly decent animated light effects where ever you place the point of view. A run-by at speed is very interesting. A couple of freight locos:

RE: Shape file manager

Hello patanhkful, SFM will also rescale (resize), change a loco's direction ( so you can run longhood forward (think Norfolk Southern)or change a LH loco to shorthood), and do things , I don't even know. I think there is a tutorial available at steam4me that will provide more info than I can here.BTW, it works on the Jettrain, too!
